Belfast Hills Explorers

Hills Explorers

Are you aged 16-18 and interested in nature and the outdoors? Then our Hills Explorer Programme could be right up your street! We’re offering four FREE outdoor nature sessions for 16-18 year olds in July.

Each day we’ll be exploring a different site in the Belfast Hills, discovering its wildlife, helping some of the species that call it home, and gaining a Wild Youth award in the process.

What is involved

Activities will include practical conservation sessions, wildlife surveys, and some other general activities like hikes, bushcraft and arts/crafts.

As well as giving participants the chance to explore nature, the Hills Explorer Programme is designed to improve the health and wellbeing of those taking part, with sessions based around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

Applications to the Hills Explorers Programme open in late spring / early summer and can be found by visiting belfasthills.org

You can also use the form below or email [email protected] for more information. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
