Do your bit for the environment while gaining practical experience by becoming a Hills Youth Ranger.
What is involved
As a Hills Youth Ranger you will be the ears and eyes of the Belfast Hills – walking your designated site once a month and submitting a report based on what you see. In the report you will write down any issues that you may encounter whilst visiting the site (i.e. invasive species, broken fences or any other maintenance requirements you may notice).
Applications to become a Hills Youth Ranger open towards the end of the year. If you are between the ages of 18 – 25, please head to the Belfast Hills website and download an application form. This is a great opportunity to boost your CV as it will improve your identifications skills as well as your self-confidence. Full training will be provided.
