Trainee Rangers
The Trainee Ranger Scheme is a free programme aimed at young people aged 18-25 who are interested in gaining skills and qualifications that will help them move on to employment or further training in the environmental sector. The Scheme runs annually in the autumn and winter months and is a great opportunity to network with a variety of professionals in the green sector.
Applications open in the Summer months and can be found by visiting belfasthills.org Successful candidates will be required to volunteer every Tuesday for 15 weeks over the autumn and winter period. Whilst providing practical experience in the environmental sector, the scheme also aims to improve the health and wellbeing of those taking part by getting them out into nature and forging friendships with other participants.

Applicants don’t need to have any previous experience. Training is provided, so all abilities and backgrounds are welcome. We are just looking for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals aged 18 – 25 who may be unemployed and looking to gain work experience and increase their employability skills, or who perhaps have been thinking about pursuing a career in the environmental sector, or who just want to work outdoors and do their bit to care for nature.
