Nature-connection and wellbeing
Wild Youth builds on research that shows connecting with nature can help young people’s mental health and improve their confidence. Our programmes are also compatible with the five ways to wellbeing model, which emphasises:
- Connecting with others
- Getting physically active
- Learning new skills
- Giving back
- Taking notice
Through Wild Youth activities, young people connect with peers, get active exploring local green spaces, learn skills like campfire cooking, and practice giving back to and taking notice of the natural world.
